The University is keen to encourage
academic interaction with business and
offers a range of enabling services. This
seminar describes the services run by the
University and is aimed at anyone who
wishes to learn more about the services on
offer and introduces the service providers.
Specifically, the seminar will introduce;
- How to develop and increase industry
relationships to encourage research
activity
- Working with business to develop your
research activity and enhance student
opportunities, including the Knowledge
Transfer Partnership (KTP) Scheme and
the Shell STEP Scheme
- Routes for commercially developing your
research; exploiting and protecting
innovations through Intellectual Property
Rights, funding and investment
opportunities
- Access to networks and business‘ incubation’ on campus; how and where
to start.
The seminar will be delivered by
representatives from; Sussex IP, the
Regional Development Office and the
Sussex Innovation Centre.
